Complete New Timber Double Glazed Casement Bay Windows Installed in Teddington

In the early spring of 2026 we manufactured and installed two Accoya timber box casement bay windows to this property in Grove Terrace, Teddington

Grove Terrace, Teddington

Over the years we have undertaken numerous window projects to properties within The Grove Estate in Teddington. This is a very unique residential area within Teddington. The properties surround a small park called Grove Gardens, built on the site of the 18th Century house called The Grove.

The house was demolished in 1920 and the land was acquired by Royal Dutch Shell Oil Company who commission the building of the residential properties using Dutch architecture. A distinguishing architectural feature to the properties are the external shutters fitted to the windows.

Project Overview

We manufactured new box casement bay windows, paying particular attention to being sympathetic to the original character, and architectural heritage of this residential property.

The new windows incorporated 22mm Argon filled double glazed units, providing both excellent thermal and noise insulation. We use white spacers within our double glazed units to soften their appearance within the frames. In addition all of the glass was toughened to provide both extra safety and security.

Alongside being double glazed the windows incorporated a draught-proof system to provide added warmth and comfort.

As with all of our new windows and doors we used Accoya timber. At SashWise we love Accoya, for it's durability, structural integrity and sustainability.

Ventilation & Building Regulation Compliance

With all new windows there is a requirement to comply with current Building Regulation in terms of both thermal performance and ventilation.

Meeting ventilation requirements often means fitting obtrusive plastic vents within the timber window frames. At SashWise we have devised a system of concealed trickle vents that provide sufficient ventilation whilst at the same time no detractive from our beautifully crafted windows.

End Result

The new windows were fully finished throughout using our specialist Teknos paint system which provides exceptional weather resistance.

A complete new set of window ironmongery and security locks were fitted of a style complimenting the design and period of the property.

Moulding details, glazing bar design and proportions of the window panes were carefully replicated.

Not only do the new windows provide far superior thermal and structural performance, they bring added charm to the unique character of this residential property within The Grove Estate.
