In the autumn of 2025, we fully restored the first floor casement window and door frames to this property in Teddington.
The existing frames were retained, stripped back to the original wood and fully restored. We manufactured new Accoya timber double glazed casement sashes and doors, matching the original design and glazing bar detail.
The new sashes and doors were fitted within the newly restored frames and a draught-proofing system was installed.
The before and after thermal images clearly show the significant improvement in thermal performance. The yellow/orange shading of the French Doors in the before image highlights the extensive heat loss through the single panes of glass.
In comparison the darker pink/purple shading of the French Doors in the thermal image taken after the installation, shows the vast improvement in insulation and energy performance.
Thank you to Dan and his team for a very pleasant experience. The project started and finished on time, the team onsite were very considerate and the family are happy with the new windows and french Doors. They have transformed the upstairs of our house which is so cosy and quiet now. Just in time for the big freeze.
