Provided one of the above primary measures is included in the package of works, homeowners can additionally apply for funding towards secondary measure’s but the level of funding will not exceed that granted for the primary measures.

Secondary measures are:

• Windows and doors: Double/triple glazing (where replacing single glazing), secondary glazing (in addition to single glazing), upgrading to energy efficient doors (where replacing doors installed prior to 2002)
• Heating controls and insulation: appliance thermostats, hot water tank thermostats, hot water tank insulation, smart heating controls, zone controls, delayed start thermostat, thermostatic radiator valves .

Glazing is seen as a secondary measure – so we would ask prospective window clients the following question?

Are you are having one of the Primary Measures listed above installed in your home?

If the answer is YES to the above then you may be able to apply for assistance through the scheme.  If the answer is NO, then unfortunately you will not be able to take advantage of the scheme.
