Window Refurbishment

Sash windows are a beautiful feature in any home.

Sash windows are a beautiful feature in any home and can be enhanced with refurbishment.

Sash windows have been around for centuries (see our article on the history of sash windows), and there is no denying their enduring appeal. Whether you live in a traditional house or a modern apartment, sash windows can add a touch of elegance and charm. And if you’re looking to add kerb appeal to your property, sash windows are a great option.

Whilst sashes are often associated more with period properties, there’s no reason why they should not be installed in newer flats and houses.

Sash window renovation could cost less than you think, and keeping your original sash boxes instead of completely replacing the windows might be the best solution.

It’s less disruptive than you might think

If you are concerned about the process of sash window renovation being disruptive to your home and family, don’t worry. The service does involve removing your sashes and taking them away to our workshop, but the process is less disruptive than you might imagine.

We need to take the sashes offsite to strip, clean, reseal, rebuild the frame joints, then paint your frames. The whole process can take as little as just one week, and we board your window openings with security boards when we are not on the site. It’s a secure and straightforward process which we have carried out dozens of times.
